Our Story (Japanese page)

Our story started from when Mrs. Soda moved to Mills high school in 2000. (She had taught Japanese at Aragon HS and her class had contacted our classes.)  Both students have been keeping in touch with exchanging email and participating in on line project.

Email project is the following
200 students or more at Mills HS and 320 students, 1st grader, of our school are paired up as epal and they are emailing each other regularly.

GCC project Participation is the following
Our two classes, class1-7, class1-8 and Mrs. Soda's two Japanese classes participated in GCC project in October, 2004. We made them paired up each class of both schools as GCC partner class on web site. They had been communicating with making web page about each culture and BBS posting until May in 2005.

The Goal of our program is to understand each culture, to make friendship and to learn English/Japanese with talking teen's real life.

These exchange programs had Mrs. Soda and her students made plans trip to Japan and they also planed to visit our school. The following is the list of their trip to us. (Mrs. Soda always takes her students to our school)

On June 16th, the last day, 15 Mills students came together at our school and they met their epals at our school, who are email partners in 2004 and 2005. They also met GCC project partner class at computer lab. It was so great time that they promised to come back again.
